I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
